How do i bring car parts from japan into the states?


Im trying to bring in parts from japan of a 2006 nissan skyline gtr r34 and build it from the ground up. also which web sites could i look at for the parts.

    theres a list of cars from the nhsta (or something like that) about cars that can be imported. They have to have passed our safety tests, when brought over, if they dont conform they must be made to, sent back, or destroyed. Search on yahoo, importing cars to united states or something. Besides that, you buy a car online or through a broker, arrange shipping on a barge (usually once a month and like 5k+), then pay the fees for interring customs and stuff here.do your research though

    Good luck on that one. You would be paying import fees on any parts. You would need to have the vehicle inspected and passed by the DMV in your state (provided you actually got it built). It would also need to pass the Federal safety and emission standards. Your chances of this happening are slim to none.

    I know a local company to me had a friend in the US whom dealt with skylines in the US and they send parts etc.
