There are factories in over 20 countries.
If a Ford made in Europe is sold in Europe, America would get the money. It is an American product. Made with American design, made with American technology, and same types of materials.
It is the same no matter where it is made.

I would rather buy a Japanese car. I do not care where it is made as long is it has Japanese technology and design.

After losing my job at a seat manufacturer for Chrysler to Canada, buy a vehicle made in the USA by American workers. We need jobs in THIS country, no matter the brand name. If you buy a Ford built in Mexico, the mexican workers get paid. What do YOU get of the money that comes back to the US? The upper management at Ford gets that money.

Door panels won't fit. You can get the dash to fit with some modifications, there should be a few write-ups about it on the net. For the front end, you'll need to cut the front fenders and weld the Civic and the Integra ones together. I believe you also need the radiator support, along with the hood, lights, fenders, & bumper.

I've seen the conversion before, IMO it looks bad. The only really clean looking conversion I've ever seen was a 5th gen Civic front end on a Del Sol.

The front end would fit with a lot of modification (molding your old ones to the new ones)

if you want it more like a type r buy the recaro seats and the steering wheel and get some civic hx rims and pain them white

If you mean buy support the economy by putting money in American worker's pockets, buying ANYTHING made in the USA helps.

I don't know how many wannabe company accountants will post here, but saying Toyota's profit ALL goes back to Japan is misleading.

How do their US plants get built??? With profit.

How do US workers for Toyota get bonus checks every so often? With profit.

How did GM start building plants in China? With profit...profit that is not coming from the US market now!

Why do GM plants close down in the USA and move elsewhere? Because that leftover cash is moving out of country!

Once you get past taxes and the dealership cut of the money the money goes back to the companies home country as that's where the majority of the design, sales, marketing, management, etc is done. Assembly provides only a few jobs and little of the total money.

1. All money goes to Japan
2. Most money goes to Japan.
3. All money stays in the US.
4. Most money stays in the US.

Well my best childhood friend's dad was a labor attorney and they stuck with American cars till the mid 90's when it really didn't matter since most foreign cars are built in America by American people. However most of the parts are make out of the U.S. You call these days..
BUT hey you could buy the new 2008 SSC Ultimate Aero its all American designed and built! AND its the current record holder for the fastest car.
